BOGOR, JABAR | SuaraMediaa.id – The Bogor Police’s People Wanted List (DPO) has been identified. The disclosure of the DPO’s existence began with a tweet from one of the netizens on the Bogor Police Public Relations Instagram, which then, through a long investigation, journalists managed to find out the whereabouts of the DPO, who is currently in New York, United States and working as a ART (household assistant).
Bogor Police Public Relations broadcast a People Wanted List (DPO) with the number DPO/40/IV/2024/RESKRIM via social media (medsos) Instagram in September 2024. The alleged perpetrator is a woman named Kasmayuni alias Yuni, 46 years old. Yuni was charged with fraud, violating Article 378 of the Criminal Code and Article 372 of the Criminal Code, where the post was visited by 2,327 netizens with 117 comments and shared 118 times.
The Bogor Police Public Relations post was flooded with comments from netizens regarding motor vehicle theft cases and others, but what became the center of attention in the post was the whereabouts of the DPO suspected of being the female perpetrator.
A tweet from the account Xander127890 provided a comment on the Bogor Police Public Relations homepage. “How did he catch this person in America,” he wrote. “You have to use Interpol using extradition, I have all the information about this person, please contact me,” continued the Sandravoh account.
From the netizen’s tweet on the Bogor Police Public Relations Instagram, the media crew immediately searched and succeeded in contacting the suspect’s husband, with the initials RS. From RS’s statement (DPO’s husband) it is known that he is currently also in New York AS, his aim is to send his wife back to Indonesia so that she can take responsibility for her actions. However, the hospital had difficulty repatriating his wife to Indonesia because with DPO status it turned out he could not deport his wife, however, according to information from local authorities, he said that his wife should have been issued a Red Notice.
A red notice is a request to law enforcement around the world to search for and temporarily detain someone who is subject to extradition or legal action. The red notice was issued by Interpol (Intern), which should have been issued by the Police of the Republic of Indonesia, because apart from the alleged cases of fraud and embezzlement which are now being accused of the DPO, it turns out other cases have also been uncovered, such as the suspect’s alleged embezzlement of social gathering money amounting to billions to the detriment of many people.
